Englishfficulty to emerge and find happiness in a precarious social environment, and that rescues diverse identity expressions typical of the Coquimbo Region, such as the life of artisanal fishermen and devotion to the Virgin of Andacollo, through the tradition of the "Chinese Bailes". Currently the project is starting the post-production stage, and we need the financial support that allows us to properly finalize the film and be able to release in a few months.
SYNOPSIS
Marcos, a former fisherman with a life story far from the tranquility and marked by a constant sacrifice for his family composed by his two children who were abandoned by their mother, decides to return to the port of Coquimbo to reconnect with his unfinished past. A character full of frustration due to his bad decisions and the mistakes made in his life tries to regain control in a thorny path marked by violence, anguish and marginality.
THE CAST Juan Sánchez Maltrain Actor and professor of theater and corporal expression graduated from the Bachelor of Performing Arts of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Playa Ancha in 2007, Juan has mainly played his acting career in the theater as well as in the audiovisual area in Chile, Uruguay and Argentina, countries where he also carried out pedagogical works for children and adolescents from poor neighborhoods. Between 2010 and 2015, he obtains the Theater Faculty at the National University Institute of Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Paola Jara Flores Actress, graduated from the School of Acting Duoc UC, Viña del Mar, in 2007. With complementary studies in circus arts and contemporary dance, in Buenos Aires, Argentina during 2008 and at the Center for Research and Choreographic Studies in Santiago de Chile in 2011. In 2016, he perfected his performance in front of a camera at the Matus Actors School in Santiago. She is currently Director of the Compañía Teatrocinética and collaborator of the scenic area in Laboratorio Creativo Monasterio.
Claudia Hernández Actress, pedagogue and theater director, Claudia is founder of the Wind Theater Company and the Teachers Association of Elqui (ATEL). She currently directs the experimental theater of the University of La Serena. In Procesión, Claudia plays Ana, a character of transcendence in the story of Marcos, our protagonist.
Marcelo Saavedra Carmona Actor with studies carried out at the PROCOM Theater, Film and TV Performance School and at the TEATRO LA CASA Professional School in Santiago, Chile. In addition, he is the General Director and founder of the International Theater Festival Molinos de Arte. Marcelo has developed a large part of his career participating as a member of Compañía Nacional Teatropato of the city of Coquimbo and has also done work for television series, short films and film.
THE DIRECTOR
Felipe Arias Soto is a journalist graduated from the Universidad Catolica of Chile and graduated from the Cinema career, mention film Direction, from the Instituto Profesional Arcos. Professor of audiovisual aesthetics, film history, script and realization, he has made more than 10 short films and documentaries, some of which have been selected in national and international film festivals such as the International Film Festival of Havana, Sanfic, International Film Festival of Valdivia, Cine B Festival, among others. In addition, he has made a documental show for television that rescues the traditions of the Chilean countryside and also advertising spots of public health campaigns. In 2011 he was one of the two Chilean representatives selected to participate in the Talent Campus of the Berlin International Film Festival.
How will the money be used? With the idea of making this campaign transparent, the amounts collected will be used for post production expenses that are used to make our film. That is why we invite everyone to be part of this beautiful project that we wish could be presented in national and international theaters and festivals. In the same way, we urge you to follow our progress through our social networks where we will be constantly documenting this creative process. We need your support, either monetary or through the different platforms, so that this project will be successful and we can achieve in a professional way all the work that our great team has done during hours of filming.
